The perspective is not only the architectural one, which is part of the important Italian cultural heritage, it is also the look which allows you to connect and hold together the past, present, and future.

The past is the reservoir of knowledge, of history, which also makes us wise, the future is the perspective on which we must open ourselves and that is represented and symbolized by the three children, who are not only a reference to the legend of Romulus and Remus and the founding of Rome but also represent the life-giving union, enriching encounter between races, cultures, and different knowledge.

It is the look that allows an open and complex view of the world, which also unites the opposites, integrating them and making them harmonious.

Italy in history has always been one of the places in the Mediterranean where people and multifarious ideas have crossed since the dawn of time.

Painting
Market Value: $775

Artist Name: Jean-Marie Coste

This painting has been selected to be the cover page of a book called "The lights of a long night" written in French by Christine Thivel. She wrote this book after covering in France, as a journalist, the Just Men of the Nations ceremony when the medal was given to a couple who deserved it for their heroic behavior. Through her investigation, which took her to Jerusalem, she collected some testimonies on heroes who have never claimed to be one and who were not even conscious they achieve exceptional acts... Close to us, in France, these heroes were also the lights of this long night, this book pays them tribute. All of the profits from the book sales will be given back to the House of Izieu Association to modestly support their work on memory. The painter is the husband of a French BNI Director.
